Happy Global Money Week

Global Money Week is a week for the world’s largest money awareness campaign for children and young people to learn about money managing skills through fun events and activities. It's under the initiative of the OECD, celebrated simultaneously in 176 countries every March, where activities aiming to increase the awareness of children and young people on financial issues are carried out.

Within the scope of Global Money Week, which was initiated by Child & Youth Finance International in 2012 and has been carried out internationally by the OECD in cooperation with various organizations since 2019, 53 million children and young people from 176 countries have been reached to date and have been informed about financial literacy in events held simultaneously all over the world.

Global Money Week 2024's theme is "Protect your money, secure your future".

These events aim to give basic financial literacy information to children and young people using fun and participatory methods. Every year, hundreds of non-governmental organizations, universities, and high schools from all over the world come together to raise awareness and look for ways to make future generations aware of financial issues and make more accurate financial decisions.

Within the scope of Global Money Week, aims to raise knowledge and awareness about financial literacy in children and young people from an early age with activities on basic concepts such as money, budget, desire and need, savings, accumulation, and investment. At Wello Money, we aim to raise awareness among children and young people about the financial difficulties they may encounter in later years, while also improving their money management skills.

In this context, Wello Money held the "Financial Literacy, Investor Behavior, and Market Confidence while Shaping Your Future" panel in partnership with the Turkish Capital Markets Association, Isik University, and Habitat Association.

In the panel, young people's interest in financial and capital literacy was very high. The event ended with the advice to young people that it has become almost a necessity for them to know financial literacy, that they should learn investment instruments well, and that they should save their money regularly, even if it is small, and direct it to the right investment.
